Lessons, personal study, and practice will lead to satisfaction and success with playing the piano, singing, and other musical activities. Regular attendance at your lessons is one of the most important factors for building skills and ease with music making. Practicing is one of the cornerstones of success with musical activity. Practicing is easy once you set some regular times … and keep at it! A key part of music study is learning the secrets of good practice habits.
Please work within your family to find regular times for practice. Children will need supervision and support to develop proper habits; I work with each family to help navigate the challenges.
You will be responsible for attending to your lesson books at each session. However, please note that YOU are more important than the books! Our policy is that fees are due during the first week of the month. Each monthly session is a set of four lessons, with options for 30- or 45-minute lessons. Please note that if you need to cancel, a courtesy notification is best. With 24-hour notification of cancellation I will make every attempt to schedule a make-up lesson.
The world of music is wide, welcoming and deep; and with the cumulative advantages of music lessons many doors of opportunity will open for you. Lifelong skills of musicianship, along with artistic and personal development are the rewards of patient and persistent study. Also, performance opportunities are pleasant ways to show off your musical accomplishments and share the joy of your music with family and friends!
